In ancient times, rulers possessed traditional attributes – symbols of unlimited power. One of the most ancient is the scepter. It originates from the Egyptian pharaohs and later it was adopted by the ancient Greeks and Romans, and subsequently by Europeans and the peoples of the East. The rod of power was called Assa Tayak among the Kazakhs and looked like a warder with iron rings and pendants on the upper part. It personified prosperity and wealth.
