The basis for creation of the reproduction was the work by the famous Kazakh graphic artist Issatai Issabayev. He was proficient in all types of graphic reproduction, including wood engraving, linoleum engraving, etching techniques. He finely applied all these skills when worked on his paintings. Issabayev often deliberately moves away from picturesque color tones, using only black-and-white graphic solutions. But these gray-black tones only emphasize the expression of his paintings, spiritual reflections and torments of the characters. Our designers were inspired by the famous linoleum engraving of the artist, on which Issabayev depictured the great Abai Kunanbayev, the poet, musician, philosopher, founder and classic of Kazakh written literature. The great thinker is working, but his hand with a quill pen is hovering over the paper, his gaze is fixed on the distance. In a stiff but accurate graphic, the artist managed to convey the thoughts of the wise man, his spiritual reflections and torments. The reproduction will serve as an impressive decoration of the interior of any Kazakh culture-lover and will provoke thoughts about the past, present and future.
